Women and the workplace
Women remain underrepresented in business at every level. This is according to the Women in the Workplace Report 2018. In some industries, women still face a 'glass ceiling' that limits progress. Other sectors struggle to recruit a particular gender. For example, men are underrepresented in primary school teaching.
Things are improving. More employers are committed to recruiting women in particular into senior positions. There is strong evidence for the business benefits of investing in women. .
