Student sport

If you study at Bath, you can take part in a wide range of sports whatever your level or ability. You could join a club to keep fit and meet people, take part in inter-halls competitions, or be selected to represent the University.


The SU Bath, our students' union, has over 40 sports clubs that students can join.

Sport and fitness facilities

Our Sports Training Village is the centre of sports on campus. You can access the gym, book fitness classes and take part in sport, whether you're a student, member of staff or member of the public.


The pass is included in tuition fees for 鶹ý students, providing free access to many sports facilities on campus.

The Sports Training Village is open to students, staff and the public seven days a week, offering something for everyone - check out the facilities you can use.

The Team Bath Gym & Fitness Centre has three gym zones, two studios and hosts dozens of exercise classes each week

The extensively-refurbished Gyms will offer more than 200 stations including the latest in Matrix Fitness cardiovascular and resistance machines.

Explore the facilities available on campus including the 50m swimming pool, indoor tennis courts, sports hall, athletics track and pitches.

Working with elite athletes

More than 20 athletes from a host of sports who train, study or studied at the University have been selected for this summer's Olympics and Paralympic Games.

Team Bath will continue to support the existing Athlete Development Centres in the South West of England and compete in the newly-formed U23/feeder league.

Henrique Mascarenhas (Angola), Ridhwan Momamed (Kenya) and Tobi Sijuade (Nigeria) have all successfully combined study and swimming at the 鶹ý.

Reigning Olympic and Paralympic Champions who train at Team Bath were among the athletes in attendance at an award presentation in the Sports Training Village

Connor Treacey, Charlie Griffin, Tyler Offiah, Kepu Tuipulotu and Jack Woods will follow in the footsteps of current students who are Bath Rugby 1st XV players.

Defending champ Piers Gilliver, fellow Paralympic medallists Dimitri Coutya and Oliver Lam-Watson, and four-times Paralympian Gemma Collis are all selected.
