Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships and fellowships programme funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential and can be awarded in almost any field for one year of full-time postgraduate study in the UK.

Colombia: Colfuturo
offers funding for Colombian students to study at Bath under a loan-scholarship arrangement.
You will need an offer letter from Bath before applying to Colfuturo. Applications to Colfuturo are normally open annually between January and February. Recipients of Colfuturo funding are eligible for tuition fee discounts of 25% for PhD studies and 20% for one-year Master’s programmes.
Commonwealth Scholarships
The Â鶹´«Ã½ is a proud host of Commonwealth Scholars. Commonwealth Scholarships are available for Master’s and PhD studies through the programmes detailed below.
Commonwealth Master's Scholarship
are available for students from developing Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK.
Applicants should, where possible, apply for admission to Bath in advance of submitting a scholarship application. Applicants must be nominated by the Nominating Agency in their country and apply to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.
Commonwealth Split-Site PhD Scholarships (for low- and middle-income countries)
offer PhD scholars studying at eligible universities across the Commonwealth the opportunity to conduct research at an institute in the UK for 12 months.

Commonwealth PhD Scholarships (for least developed countries and fragile states)
are for candidates from least developed countries and fragile States in the Commonwealth, for full-time doctoral study at a UK university. Candidates must apply to the relevant in their country as well as to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. Applicants are required to submit a supporting statement on institutional letterhead from a proposed supervisor in the UK from at least one of the institutions named on the application form.
Costa Rica: CONAPE
is a state institution specialized in providing loans for higher and technical education. Recipients of funding from CONAPE studying at the Â鶹´«Ã½ are eligible for tuition fee discounts of 25% for PhD studies and 20% for one-year Master’s programmes.
Egypt: Educational and Cultural Bureau
The Â鶹´«Ã½ hosts scholars funded by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, which offers full scholarships for PhD, Masters, Post-doctoral, Training Courses & Data Collection programmes to staff members of Egyptian Public Universities. are announced on their website.

offers funding for Guatemalan students to study at Bath under a loan-scholarship arrangement.

Iraq: Higher Committee for Education Development in Iraq

Kazakhstan: Bolashaq International Scholarship
The Â鶹´«Ã½ is approved as a study destination for Bolashaq scholars.
