Campus Tours

How to book an in-person tour of the University campus and what to expect.

Discover our beautiful campus on a relaxed, student-led walking tour. Each tour is guided by one of our current student ambassadors, giving you the opportunity to explore the campus and hear first-hand about student life at the University. Whether you're considering applying, have already received an offer, or simply want to get a feel for the campus, our tours offer an informal and friendly introduction. Tours take place on Saturdays throughout the year, last approximately 50 minutes, and cover many of the key facilities and locations that make up our vibrant campus community. If you are unable to attend one of our scheduled tours, you are welcome to explore the campus independently using our the self-guided tour route.

Frequently Asked Questions

All you need to know about our campus tours.

What will I see on the tour?

You'll be shown many of the key areas of campus, including teaching spaces, social facilities, study areas, sports facilities and other locations that are important to student life. Your ambassador will also share their own experiences of living and studying at the University.

Will I be able to ask questions during the tour?

Absolutely. Our student ambassadors are happy to answer questions throughout the tour and share their experiences of university life, accommodation, social activities, support services and more.

Will I get to speak to a student studying the course I'm interested in?

Not usually. As we offer a wide range of courses, the ambassador leading your tour is unlikely to be studying your chosen course. However, all our ambassadors have extensive experience of student life and can answer many general questions about studying at the University. If you would like to connect with a current student from a specific subject area, we recommend using our Chat to a Student service.

Will I get to view academic departments?

No. Our campus tours are designed to provide a general overview of the University rather than a course-specific experience, so academic departments are not included as part of the route. You can explore many of our academic spaces through the University's virtual tour.

Can I view student accommodation?

Accommodation is not included as part of the campus tour. However, our accommodation virtual tour allows you to explore a range of residences, room types and communal spaces online. Student Accommodation

Is the tour suitable if I've never visited before?

Yes. The tours are ideal for first-time visitors and provide a great introduction to the campus environment, facilities and student experience.

Can I bring family members or guests?

Yes. Parents, carers, guardians and other guests are welcome to join you on the tour.

Are the tours accessible?

We aim to make our tours as accessible as possible. If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know when booking and we will do our best to support you.

Can I speak to the Admissions Team during my visit?

Our Admissions Team does not have a public reception on campus, so they are unavailable for drop-in enquiries during tours. However, you can contact the team at any time by emailing admissions@bath.ac.uk, and they will be happy to help.

Can I visit campus at another time if I cannot attend a tour?

Yes. While we cannot arrange individual guided visits, you are welcome to explore campus independently using our self-guided tour route.
