Black Students' Network

A programme of events supporting community, belonging, wellbeing and success

The Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Black Students’ Network (BSN) was established in 2021 and is now in its fifth year. Born out of student feedback and developed with the support of wellbeing experts and coaches from the Black community, the BSN has been designed specifically for Â鶹´«Ã½ students who identify as Black* (African, Caribbean, or Dual Heritage). Over the summer of 2025, we collaborated with more than 40 students to review the Network, and we are delighted to re-launch it this year.

The Black Students’ Network (BSN) aims, in response to student requests, to:

  • Foster community and connection
  • Strengthen a sense of belonging
  • Provide workshops and opportunities that support wellbeing and professional development

On this page you will find all of the BSN’s latest events, opportunities and news. All of our events are free to attend. We aim to offer a mix of online and in-person events, and we hope appeal to your wide range of interests.

*We recognise that everyone uses different language to describe and understand their identity. In consultation with the students who helped us review this Network, we’ve chosen to use the term Black students – which we hope feels inclusive and welcoming to you all.
