This job is only available to current students at the University of Bath. 

This is a fixed-term role for approximately six months or one year, depending on which course you’re on. This placement starts in August and is only open to University of Bath School of Management placement students.

We are looking for a creative and motivated placement student to support our social media and marketing activities. Working with our Marketing team, you'll help to raise the profile of the School of Management and promote our courses to UK and international students. 

The role:

You'll help to develop and create engaging content for our social media channels:

You’ll also support the production of marketing campaign materials, both digital and print. You will gain experience in supporting the planning and delivery of events.

In this role, you’ll help create a range of social media content for our channels. Here are some examples previous placement students have created:

You'll have the opportunity to: 

  • Apply your knowledge and experience of the University of Bath School of Management to developing innovative marketing solutions

<![CDATA[International Relations Coordinator (KD12813)]]> /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=KD12813 /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=KD12813 The School of Management wish to appoint a part-time International Relations Coordinator.

You will form part of the School’s team for delivery of international experience to students, sitting within the Employability team. The main duties of this role will be informed by developments in the international strategy, requiring you to show significant flexibility and adaptability with regard to proportion of time spent on specific duties.

About the role

The role has responsibility for all aspects of administrative support for outgoing and incoming student exchanges on the School’s undergraduate programmes, ensuring that services are efficient, effective and adapt to changing circumstances. The team work together, developing common systems and processes standardised on best practice and ensuring that University regulations and procedures are adhered to.

This is a busy and varied role which requires you to communicate persuasively and tactfully with staff to ensure cooperation and compliance with milestones in the academic year. 

You will also maintain regular communication with students which may include matters of confidentiality. Therefore, you will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, demonstrate a good use of initiative and be able to interpret and apply complex information. Excellent attention to detail is also required.

About you

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Substantial experience in an administrative support role preferably with experience of student administration or equivalent experience working in a busy office
  • Experience of liaising/negotiating and working with a range of staff
  • Experience of working with young adults and people from a wide range of cultures

Skills:

  • Knowledge at intermediate level of at least one foreign language 
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Capacity to manage and prioritise a high workload, often working to tight deadlines

Attributes:

  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Ability to work in a team and independently, being proactive and able to use initiative
  • Competent, conscientious and motivated with a methodical approach to work
  • Customer focused, with proven ability in improving customer service
