Description: Aims:

* To support students, in identifying and investigating their own original research questions in clinical psychology.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the unit, the students should be able to:
* Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of research design and appreciate alternative approaches to research in clinical psychology
* Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of alternative epistemological positions that provide the context for theory construction, research design and the selection of appropriate analytical techniques
* Show competency in the use of particular research designs and techniques within clinical psychology

Content:
The nature of the Clinical Â鶹´«Ã½ Apprenticeship unit is that students are 'learn-by-doing', and so they will be expected to demonstrate their ability to define a viable research question within the field of clinical psychology; design an appropriate and coherent methodology to answer the research question.
