Description: Aims:
The aim of this unit is to develop the communication, planning and critical evaluation skills needed to perform at a postgraduate professional level.

Learning Outcomes:
After successfully completing this unit, a student will be able to:
* Communicate their work to technical and non-technical audiences
* Critically evaluate solutions to complex engineering problems
* Plan, monitor, adjust and document self-learning to improve performance (e.g. continuing professional development; CPD)
* Plan, monitor, adjust and document a programme of work on an on-going basis
* Engage in structured reflection on own performance and skills development
* Exercise initiative and personal responsibility
* Discuss examples of ethical dilemmas in engineering practice, and the role of professional codes of practice.
