Description: Aims:
The intention of this unit is to:
* Engage students in the reflection and critique of pedagogic practices concerning physical culture, health and people's bodies by applying their knowledge of different theoretical positions to formal and informal learning contexts within and beyond schools.
* Provide an opportunity for students to develop and improve their personal critical praxis.
* Understand specific and contemporary pedagogical issues related to physical culture, health and people's bodies.

Learning Outcomes:
Having studied this unit, students will be able to:
* Consider and recognise how different theoretical positions might influence our approach to pedagogic practices.
* Critically reflect upon practice in terms of enhancing continuing professional development.
* Increasingly recognise appropriate links between theory and practice
